 After an already challenging morning, on my way out the door today, the heel of my shoe got caught in the door jamb and I fell down landing on my left ankle.  Hoo boy.  It's gonna be one of those days.

Crocheting (and writing) again after many years

 Hello everyone... you know the zero people who read my blog.  LOL. 

If you're reading this again, let me know by leaving a comment below.    I thought I'd start writing again.  Maybe not every day, but some anyway.

Let's start by looking at my newest old hobby!  I started crocheting again.  According to my records it's been about 5 years since I picked up a hook, and MANY years before that.  BUT, look!!  I finished my first project ever!  Isn't it beautiful?

It's a Christmas gift for a very special girl.  I'm making another identical to it in Green, which you can see here.  I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year. 

I am not really sure why I'm looking forward to it, because I won't be with my whole family.  But I think the giving bug has me good.  I cannot wait to give the handmade gifts I am making to my special girls.

Happy Mother's Day

Happiest of wishes to all of the mothers out there today.  I also wish a happy Mother's Day to all of the women like me who wish they are mothers but are not.

My heart breaks on this day probably more than any other.  I want to take a moment to thank Daisy and Summer for always including me in this day and they know what I mean.  

I mourn for what I do not have and yet I must go forward and be happy.  Some days it is harder to bear than others and this is one of those days.

I'm grateful for a wonderful husband, good friends and family, but I will always be sad deep down - that there was no Walter James or Patricia Dawn in my house and that no one will ever call me mommy.

Bringing home the bacon

I failed at this today.  Home sick.  This little guy went to the office though....

So, I bought these cards...

And I put my blog on the back!  I guess I should be writing something on it if I'm going to be giving out the address.  It's been a long time since I've actually written anything vs just posting pictures.
