Doobie doobie doo - From my LJ Blog

Feb. 12th, 2004 @ 07:11 pm Doobie doobie dooo

Tuesday was my birthday and a fine day it was. Surprisingly I wasn't upset at all at the thought of getting another year older.

My boss took me to lunch at a great French restaurant called Continental Flambe'. I had the beef tenderloin crepes Diane with crab chowder and warm blackberry crepes with vanilla creme sauce. DELISH! For dinner my husband took me to my favorite seafood restaurant. One of these days I'm going to ask them for their breading recipe. It's so tasty!

Catch up more this weekend!

What a day - From my LJ Blog

Feb. 3rd, 2004 @ 11:37 pm What a day

Current Mood: anxious

Current Music: We've got the beat - Go go's ?

Today was hellish. I'm stressing out over my sister's bridal shower this weekend. It's at my house, and I really can't wait and it is going to be wonderful, but I just want everything to be perfect!

I had my cleaning lady come in today and do a nice deep cleaning, though it took me the last 4 days to get ready for her to come! Why do we clean, before they clean anyway.. it's crazy.

Things at work are weird. The lady that helps us 2 hours a day fell off a platform at an event this weekend and broke both of her arms, and she has a concussion, so she won't be back, and my boss says that we're not going to replace her. I swear I don't know what she's thinking sometimes. I need that help, otherwise she's paying me bigger bucks to be standing at the copy machine or other nonsense for 2 hours a day. She says she wants to move forward, but she needs to rethink her plan. Fortunately she a smart lady and she does listen to reason, so we'll be ok. I really like her a lot.

My grandfather has been having some off days again. He's got terminal cancer, that came on rather quickly. He's at home now and hospice is keeping tabs on them. Saturday night was a bad one, but I talked to him today and he sounded good. Cross your fingers.

Gosh I love a clean house.

We bought a new desk this weekend, it is really awesome. I didn't think it would fit in the room we have it in, but it does and it really looks great.

It's a start - From my LJ Blog

Jan. 26th, 2004 @ 12:02 am It's a start

You know what they always say, you have to start somewhere.

I found this place by clicking on a link at a message board I frequent.

Hopefully I'll keep up things here better than I do with written journals. I have about a million of those started.

Wish me luck!
